Birthday Drinks

I needed a birthday card, for a lady, for a swap that I was doing. I received a fun set from my friend Erin (over at Inky Smiles) and just couldn’t wait to use it!!

I stamped the lime on some pear cardstock, and then cut it out, for the edge of the glass. The one on the tag is stamped on white, and then colored in with some Q tips!

And the sentiments for the inside? Perfect!!

I love this technique with the ribbon! Just a bit of scor pal tape, and you are golden!! This is actually 2 ribbons that I glued together, on top of each other, then used as one ribbon to make the ruffle.

I’ll bet you will NEVER guess what I used on the edge of the glass! Go on, guess!

I bet you didn’t guess right!! Since this card isn’t going to be a ‘forever’ card . . . I used course ground salt! Lined the rim with some liquid glass, and then just twisted the salt over top! It added just the right touch, don’t you think?

Hope to see you tomorrow!
