My Sunshine Blog Hop

Welcome to April’s stamp of the month blog hop!

This month there are 60 consultants participating in this blog hop! “My Sunshine” has such fun stamps in it! Perfect for some spring time cards! If you are following the blog hop, you should have come from Elizabeth’s blog. If you started here, that’s great too! The hop is a big round circle, so you shouldn’t get lost along the way. However, if you do happen to get lost, Helen has a list on her blog of all of the participants.

Every month there is a new exclusive stamp set that you can only get during that month. It is available at full price ($17.95) or for just $5 with a $50 order!

Today I have a fun little treat bag to share with you.

These stamps fit together so nicely! I stamped the sun rays in buttercup and the words in Chocolate Ink. I used the bird’s wing to stamp the background banner, also in buttercup. You’re tweet is super sweet in Chocolate ink. I even used some buttercup ink on the cute little birdie Wooden piece!

Would you like to get this stamp free? And what about 3 more? In April, if you sign up to be a consultant, you will get April through July’s Stamps of the Month FOR FREE! The kit is just $49, and you get $155 worth of wonderful creative items, and now, with the stamps, it’s another $70 of free crafting stuffs! How sweet is that?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Your next stop in the fun hop is the lovely Lalia!

Have a fantastically fabulous crafty day!

Bingo Blog Hop

Welcome to our March Art Philosophy/Artiste Blog Hop! As you know, both the Artiste and the Art Philosophy cartridges are available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant. If you don’t already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy’s blog – Love 2 Create. If you came from Penny ~ It Makes Total Cents then you are in the right place!

Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but also a “BINGO” card!

Here is the BINGO card that our Consultants were given:

The Consultants were told they could make anything they wanted using the Artiste OR Art Philosophy cartridge AND you work off the BINGO card posted above. Basically, you make a “BINGO” by going across, down, or diagonally and you have to use everything in that bingo line.

I made this fun card with the bingo card, and I hope you like it! I used the fun April Stamp of the Month, “My Sunshine”.

First I stamped the sun ray image on my card with Buttercup ink, keeping it close to the top. Then I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for the ‘label’ type shape, and stamped it with the circle of words, also in Buttercup Ink. Next I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Ink on a scrap of White Daisy cardstock, and notched it into a banner shape.

I used one of the buttons from the Surfs Up Assortment, and attached an itty bitty butterfly from the Trinkets Wooden Shapes with a dab of liquid glass. It is so cute and adorable and tiny!

Your next stop on our “BINGO” hop is Melissa L- MyWatermelonMoon.

My card is a fairly simple card today! I just cut a number of the fluer de lis from the Art Philosophy cartridge and the congrats from the Artiste cartridge. I used our fabulous Liquid Glass to keep them secure, and then just went around the outside of the card a couple of times with an everyday household black pen.

Your next stop on our “For Always” hop is Ellen ~ CardMonkey’s Paper Jungle.

February Blog Hop ~ Home Sweet Home ~

Welcome hoppers!

As you have seen, there is some great artwork in this blog hop already! You should have arrived here from Haley’s Blog. What a great idea to document her journey, right?

This month, the set is called Home Sweet Home, and has four great images on it.

I found a great inspiration image (which I saved, on my laptop that died yesterday), but am not able to share it with you! (sorry!!)

I ended up making a whole set of cards, and this whole process was fairly simple!

I used our great buttons on this project too!

I’ll show the how to below, so scroll down if you would like to see. Or, you can hop on over to Vicki’s blog

So, my first step was to pick the colors that I wanted to use, and then I stamped the image that I wanted one time on each of the sheets of cardstock with white daisy ink. (I chose hollyhock, pear, lagoon, desert sand, sunset, and blush)

Then I cut them into strips using the CTMH ruler and cutting knife (as shown below) and then trimmed them down and notched them into banner shapes with my microtip scissors.

Then, I laid them out on my versamat so that I had all the colors in each one, and made sure there weren’t two pinks next to each other.

I added some colonial white banners to help balance it. I popped the whole thing up on some foam tape. Added some seam binding and a button and put it on the card. I think it turned out super cute! And, for about the same amount of effort, I now have 6 different cards that I can give out to people.

I hope that you enjoyed my cards and my mini tutorial!

Have a crafty day!
