January 2014 SOTM Blog Hop: Cross Stitch Wishes

Welcome to the January 2014 Stamp of the Month Blog hop! This month we have almost 50 ladies hopping with us to give you some great ideas on how to use this fun set! If you arrived from Lisa’s blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost along the way, Melinda has a full list of hoppers, HERE.

I had fun coming up with something on this stamp set for my card workshop that I will be doing. (watch for more info on that one!) I will admit, this wasn’t one of my favorite stamp sets, but I like what I came up with, and I hope that you will too!

I used the Laughing Lola paper (which will be continuing into the new idea book) and some of the cardstock that comes in that paper pack, mixed in with some white for the sentiment and the base.

I used black archival ink, as it stays a blacker black, for the sentiment. If I had some embroidery floss, I could even punch the dots and do some cross stitching on here, but I don’t have any. {that would be SUPER cute!!} I also used the pattern from one of our fabulous Originals book!

This set would make some super cute cards (or pages) for someone who loves cross stitching! Buy the set for $17.95, or you can get it for just $5 when you order $50!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my little card! Your next stop is Brae (one of the first CTMH ladies that I followed!!). I hope you have had a happy and safe New Year!!

Have a crafty day!

Isn’t it beautiful? I can think of so many things to make with this stamp set! Unfortunately, with all of the other stuff that I have had going, I didn’t get a chance to sneak in play time with this set. I can’t wait to see what you make with it though!

Next, you will hop on over to Susan’s blog.

Pokemon Birthday Present

Audrey was invited to a friend’s birthday party, and he LOVES Pokemon. (you should have seen his invite, it was pretty awesome!) So, we went off in search of some Pokemon to get for him.

There’s a new little shop near us, that is family owned, and they carry all sorts of game stuffs, mostly the card games, Pokemon, Magic, etc.. We weren’t sure which item might be good, so their boys came over and gave opinions on which pack would be best, and why they would be best. Audrey chose which one she would like to get, and we got a legendary pack as well.

We had talked about how we could package it before we got to looking, because I knew that they came in packs much like the baseball and football cards do. Well, what we got was in a box, so we could just wrap it, or we could do something fun. So, we went with the something fun.

I had seen a mini album much like this, and revamped it just a bit. Added a cardboard cover for it, and we had a hit!

Since it was a present from Audrey, I had her cut out the Pokemon from the box so that we could use it to decorate the front of the cover. Instead of making the ribbon be tied at the side, we went with a magnet, so that he wouldn’t have to tie and untie the book over and over again.

We used some retired Victory paper from CTMH, as well as some Brown and White Grograin ribbon (which will be retiring soon).

I didn’t get to see him open the present, but she said that he thought it was pretty cool! (Yaay!) Oh, and incase you were wondering, that little book held 60 individual cards and 2 packs of 10 cards, so you can get quite a bit in there!

I hope you have a great and crafty weekend!

Advent Calendar Workshop

Hey everyone! I’m being featured over at Practical Scrappers with this fun Advent calendar. This is a workshop that I am teaching at The Office (and long distance). It was so fun to put together! Let’s take a look!

The full calendar is fairly long, but oh so pretty hanging on your wall!

I’ve used the new paper packet, Sparkle & Shine, from Close to my Heart’s Holiday Gift Guide to pretty up this advent calendar.

I’ve used doodads and thing a ma jigs to add some dazzling sparkle to this fun calendar. {That’s Bitty sparkles, Sparkles, Red Glitter Tape, Slate Polka Dot Satin Ribbon, red & white bakers twine}

There are 30 pre-printed sayings included with this workshop. That gives you the opportunity to use the ones that you would use, and have a bit of flexibility.

With the ribbon, twine, and glitter tape, there are many different textures on this advent calendar! So much fun to look at, and count down with!

I will be holding this workshop at The Office on Friday, November 22nd at 7pm. Registration for this workshop is due by 11/18 so that I can make sure that I have the kits ready for the workshop.

November SOTM Blog Hop: Illuminate

Howdy hoppers! If you started at the front of the blog hop, you are almost done! There are just over 50 consultants participating this month. I’m sure you have seen a LOT of great artwork with this fun stamp! If you have been hopping along, you should have come from Dawn’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the whole list here.

Illuminate is available through the month of November for $17.95 or just $5 with a $50 order! There are so many fun things that you could do with it! For today’s showcase, I thought I would make a small set of tags. They were super fun to make!

There are 4 tags in this set, and each has one of the different lanterns that are included in this set.

I stamped the sentiment in Archival Black ink, the lanterns in 2nd generation Lagoon ink, and the light is Buttercup ink. The string is actually the jute ribbon, that I unbraided to have strings for these tags.

These tags would be great to add to a gift, or even put as the sentiment on the front of a card. This is definitely a set that will have many uses! Make sure to talk to your consultant to get your own set! If you don’t have a consultant, I would be happy to help you!

Thanks for stopping by! To continue on the hop, your next stop would be over at Tamytha’s blog.

Have a crafty day!

Inspired by Pinterest

I know you all have a love hate relationship with Pinterest, just like I do! If you are like me, you might or might not have 5 different tabs open with Pinterest boards open, ready to browse through. Today’s post over at Practical Scrappers is all about being inspired by Pinterest!

I had fun with this card! It was a super simple card to make, needing just one stamp set, White Daisy cardstock, and inks!

I was inspired by this card, made by Kelly Rasmussen.

I popped up the panel with the “rays” on it, just to add a bit more oomph!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I am certain that you will love the other projects over at Practical Scrappers, so make sure to head over there to take a look!

Holiday Gift Guide Blog Hop

If you don’t know already, there is a Holiday Gift Guide that CTMH has put out this year! Lots of fun new things in there, including Washi Tape, Christmas stamps, non Christmas stamps, and of course, some paper! This hop will give you just an inkling of some of the things that you can do with the products in the new gift guide! Today you should have arrived from Maureen’s blog. If you happen to get lost along the way, you can find the full hop list on Melinda’s Blog.

Today I have made a fun card for you.

This was a fun and simple card, that would be perfect if you are looking to make MANY cards to send out!

I added 4 little itty bitty sparkles to the sentiment, and I think it just fits perfectly!

I do hope that you have enjoyed my little card! The Holiday Gift Guide is available to purchase from starting October 15th! With every $100 that you spend, you will get to pick one free item from the book!

Thanks for visiting! Now, make sure to hop on over to Jean’s blog!

October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello fabulous hoppers!!

Unfortunately, I have run out of time to be able to create something fabulous for this hop. Luckily, me running out of time in real life isn’t the same as the running out of time in “In Time”, you know, where they die if they run out of time!

This set is a fun set, and I am certain that you will find LOTS of fabulous artwork on this hop! Hopefully I will be able to get some fun stuff made up for you and get it shown to you later this week!

If you are following the hop correctly, you should have come from Melinda’s blog, and you will now hop over to Joy’s blog. Have fun during the hop!!
