May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month blog hop! There are more than 60 ladies participating in this blog hop, so make sure to make your rounds! You should have arrived here from Heather’s blog. If you ever get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of bloggers here.

Today I have 2 cards to share with you! And, believe it or not, both of these cards were made entirely from scraps! (well, minus the ribbon, that was straight off the spool!)

First I have this fun black/white/red version for you. Such a simple card, but I think it makes quite the little statement, don’t you?

I just stamped the largest image off the corner to give it a bit of a graphic look, added the red scraps, and attached to the card. The size of the card is 4 1/4 square.

The second card I again used the off the edge stamping to make these fun borders. I then added the ribbon, and cut out the flower. Then I added the ink for the flower (yeah, I know, that’s backwards), and added a fun popped center!

What do you think?

Next you are off to Karen’s blog! Have fun hopping along!

Art Philosophy Blog hop with Twisted Sketches

Welcome to Twisted Sketches Saturday and Art Philosophy Blog Hop Day!

I figured these are both so awesome, that I would combine them together! Twisted Sketches is a fantastic sketch challenge site, with a new card sketch every Saturday and a new layout sketch every Wednesday! LOTS of beautiful things on that blog every week!!

For the blog hop, you should have come from Wendy’s blog.

Today I combined some Lucy and some Footloose papers to make this fun baby shower card!

This is the inside of my little card. You can see the shape that I cut out with my AP cartridge, and the stamp that it fits perfectly!

To make this fun border under the zip strip, I actually used a few of the same shape to make the border! Then tied some of our baker’s twine around it.

And here is a close up shot of the new Keepsake felt alphabet stickers. They were so fun to use!

Here are some other fun things I have made with the Art Philosophy Cartridge! (Such a handy little thing!) Each photo will take you to the blog post with more photos.

Dotty for you Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CTMH Dotty for you Blog hop! Have you seen this fabulous paper? It is so fun and funky and fresh! And polka dots!! Who doesn’t love polka dots!?!

For today’s blog hop, you should be coming from Sheri’s blog. Didn’t she have some cute stuff?

I have 2 sets of cards for you today! The first is a fun little birthday card using one of the plaid/striped papers and some yellow polka dots.

Next I have some cards that you will see again shortly . . . I am going to add something to them still, but I thought they looked really cute as they are . . . kind of simple, perfect for notes of any kind!

Thanks for stopping by to see my cards! I hope you liked them, and that they gave you some creative ideas! Next you are off to Misty’s blog for some more wonderfully creative ideas!

I’ll be having more Dotty for you ideas the next few weeks, because this special runs from tomorrow through May 31st! This wonderful package comes with 24 sheets of cardstock, 2 of each pattern. It is yours for only $5 with any $35 order! Contact me to place your order!

Happy Birthday!

There are a couple of birthdays happening this week! My nephew Aiden turned 2 on the 10th, and Twisted Sketches turns two today! What a great combo!

Twisted Sketches is a great challenge site that has both cards and scrapbook challenges each week. And, Anam puts a great twist on each week’s sketch! This week’s challenge was, of course “2”, to represent TS’s second birthday!

So, I thought I would make a card for them both!

I used Close to my Heart’s fabulous Footloose papers and some luscious bakers twine too! I used a number of techniques on this card, and had so much fun making it!

One of the great things about clear stamps, is that you can cut them apart to use them to create different images/sentiments!

Why not head over to the Twisted Sketches blog to see what all the other wonderful ladies made this week!

Happy Crafting!
